SP AVIATION has over 13 year experience in Aviation storage and into plane services. It’s Operations begun at Kigali International Airport in 2003 in a joint venture with Caltex. In 2007, the company partnered with Bakri International before being fully licensed to go it alone in September 2010.

SP AVIATION has a Technical Services Agreement (TSA) with world known Q8 Aviation which comprised of Insurance Coverage, Training and Inspections as per JIG requirement.

The company operates a storage facility for Jet A1 composed of four vertical above ground tanks of 500M3 each tanks with total capacity of 2,000 M3. It also has one horizontal underground with a capacity of 25M3 for product recovery (Slop tank). The facility has offloading and loading gantries containing pumping, metering and filtration system meeting EI/API 1581 5th Edition standards.

The product is received by trucks mainly from Tanzania (1300Km) and from Western Kenya (900Km) and offloaded into the tanks through stringent quality control procedures. The product is delivered to Aircrafts with modern refueling trucks. The main activity at the aviation depot includes Jet A1 quality management, the product reception, the storage, loading of refueling trucks and into plane services.
